Jessica Walker

CURRENT ROLE

Jessica joined Flood Communications as an Account Executive in 2008.  She moved to National Sales Manager in January 2020, Sales Manager in January 2021 and her current role of General Manager in November 2021.  In this role, she oversees the Northeast Region of Flood Comm.  Jessica supports the sales, news, and office staff and is based in the Norfolk office.  With the everchanging world of media, she loves that Flood Comm now has a multitude of products available to help clients market themselves successfully – radio, tv, and digital – in both English and Spanish.

BACKGROUND

Prior to Flood Communications, Jessica worked at Premier Marketing, providing support and training to insurance agents in the senior insurance market across the country.

GIVING BACK

Now that Jessica’s children are a bit older, she’s immersing herself in her community as much as she can.  She’s an active member of the Norfolk Area Chamber as a Chamber Ambassador.  She also sits on the board of the Norfolk Family YMCA.  She is a member of WEB, Women Embracing Business, and a member of the Laugh and a Half Marathon committee, which raises funds for pediatric needs in northeast Nebraska.  She is also a member of Kiwanis.

FAMILY & FUN

Jessica and her husband Travis were married in 2008 and have two children, Ashlynn and Brayton.  They built their forever home in 2014 just outside of Norfolk, where you’ll typically find someone on a motorcycle or ATV, usually chasing a dog or two.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys the little things.  Going for a walk in the pasture, a glass of wine on her deck with a friend, or sometimes just a nap.

Favorite Bands/Musicians: Jessica’s taste in music is all over the place, so there are just too many to name.

Favorite Movie: “A Christmas Story”

Favorite Authors: Rachel Hollis books are always a great motivator.

Favorite Business Books: I don’t have one but am always looking for suggestions.

Favorite Teams: Not much of a sports fan, I suppose I would say the Huskers because that’s the team I watch the most.
